A pair of antique French Os de Mouton armchairs, circa 1890. Carved arms and legs with straight back. Recently reupholstered in linen and nailhead. The arms and legs have an unusual carving. The Os de Mouton is a classic French design. Not overly ornate, but masculine and slightly understated. These are remarkbly versatile chairs that work as the head of a dining table or in front of a fireplace.
